Kenyon Kautz tied for 27th place to help the Pride finish seventh as a team at the Tuxedo Autumn Invitational Saturday at The Tuxedo Club.
Cavanaugh shot his tournament-best round, a 74 (+3), to finish at 228 (+15) in the 63-player field. Cavanaugh shot a 76 and 78 in his first two rounds on Friday. Kautz also shot a 228 (+15) with a final round 76 (+5) to go along with his first two round scores of 76 and 74.
Junior
David Won tied for 31st place at 231 (+18) with rounds of 75-78-78, while freshman
Eric Shelly tied for 33rd place at 232 (+19) with scores of 82-74-76. Junior
Johnson Ko placed 61st with a 252 (+39) following rounds of 84-86-82. Freshman
Jake Andl, playing as an individual, was 62nd at 253 (+40) with scores of 86-85-82.
The Pride had team scores of 310-305-304 to finish with a total of 919 (+67), 50 strokes behind tournament co-winners Drexel and Columbia in the 11-team field. Monmouth's Noah Firestone was the individual medalist at 211 (-2) following rounds of 74-68-69. Harrison Shih of Columbia was the runner-up at 213 (E) after scores of 70-70-73.
Hofstra returns to action October 12 at the Jasper Shootout at the Huntington Country Club.
