Hempstead, NY – The Hofstra Volleyball team will host Siena in its home opener on Tuesday before heading to the Seton Hall Classic this weekend.
Tuesday's first home match of the season from the David S. Mack Physical Education Center will be a special 1 p.m. first serve. This upcoming weekend Hofstra will face Temple, Notre Dame and the host Pirates in the tournament.
There is no charge for admission to home Hofstra Volleyball matches.

Hofstra is coming off a solid opening weekend of the season as the Pride went 3-1 at the Maryland Invitational with wins over Duquesne, Kent State and Morgan State. The Pride suffered its lone loss to the host Terrapins.
Several Pride players had strong weekends for Hofstra down in Maryland as junior outside hitter
Veronika Kostova led the way with 60 kills and 4.29 kills per set. Junior setter
Hannah Klemm dished out 141 assists for a 10.07 assists per set average, while the duo of senior libero
Corrina Delgadillo and freshman libero
Luisa Domingues tallied 43 and 41 digs respectively. Freshman middle blocker
Michela Rucli was tremendous defensively for Hofstra as she led the team with 24 blocks for a 1.71 blocks per set average.
Siena is 1-3 this season, having defeated Tennessee-Martin and lost matches to Georgia Tech, The Citadel and Coastal Carolina.
Temple enters the week with a 2-1 mark. The Owls have wins over Navy and St. John's and suffered their lone defeat to Oregon.
Seton Hall is 1-2 and earned its lone win over Central Arkansas. The Pirates have lost matches to Nebraska-Omaha and UNLV.
Notre Dame is also 1-2 with a win over Middle Tennessee State and losses to Bowling Green and Cleveland State.
Against this week's opponents Hofstra is 10-1 against Siena, 10-4 versus Temple, 7-5 against Seton Hall and 1-2 versus Notre Dame. Interestingly the last meeting with the Fighting Irish came in the NCAA Tournament in 1996, Hofstra's second-ever NCAA Tournament appearance.
