MGOLF: Jake Andl Signs NLI With Hofstra

Hempstead, NY - Hofstra Men's Golf Coach Joe Elliott announced the signing of Jake Andl to a National Letter of Intent to play golf at the University. Andl will begin his academic and athletic career at Hofstra in the fall of 2015 and joins previous signees Kenyon Kautz and Eric Shelly as part of the Pride's recruiting class.

Andl, a native of Thousand Oaks, California, is currently a senior at Westlake High School, which won the California Interscholastic Federation/Southern California Golf Association State Boys' Golf Championship and the Marmonte League title in 2014.

As a competitor on the Southern California PGA Junior Tour and a member of the American Junior Golf Association, Andl has qualified for three Toyota Tour Cup Championships and has recorded six career top 10 finishes in Toyota Tour Cup events. He has also won the Coyote High School Invitational and tied for 10th place at the AJGA Junior.

Andl owns an 18-hole average of 74 strokes per round and his lowest competitive round is a 66, which he recorded while wining the 2011 Len Kennett Junior Championship.
