Hempstead, NY – The Hofstra Women's Lacrosse team will take the road for the first time in Colonial Athletic Association play this season as the Pride face Delaware on Friday before closing the weekend at Towson on Sunday.
Friday's game against the Blue Hens will start at 5 p.m., while Sunday's first draw control against the Tigers will start at 1 p.m.

Hofstra (7-4, 2-0 CAA) and Delaware are the last two conference schools with unblemished records in CAA play as both are 2-0.
The Pride is coming off a solid start to conference play as Hofstra defeated James Madison and William & Mary last week by identical 13-8 scores.
Offensively the duo of sophomore attacker
Tiana Parrella and senior attacker
Brittain Altomare led Hofstra to the wins as each had nine points with Parrella notching five goals and four assists and Altomare totaling six goals and three assists. Defensively senior defender
April Iannetta had 10 ground balls, seven caused turnovers and six draw controls. Altomare led the Pride with 14 draw controls.
All three received various awards following the strong weekend as Parrella was the GoHofstra.com Student-Athlete of the Week, Iannetta was the CAA and ECAC Defensive Player of the Week and and Altomare earned Inside Lacrosse / IL Women National Player of the Week and CAA and ECAC Player of the Week honors.
Parrella is second on the team this season in scoring with 27 points on 17 goals and 10 assists, trailing only Altomare's 59 points on 28 goals and 31 assists. Iannetta had 43 draw controls, 34 ground balls and 26 caused turnovers this season, ranking first on the team in ground balls and caused turnovers and second to Altomare's 65 draw controls. Iannetta is one of two Pride players with double figures in both ground balls and caused turnovers as junior defender
Shelby Milne had 16 ground balls and 10 caused turnovers this season.
Delaware is 9-4 overall and 2-0 in league play. The Blue Hens have won two straight, including an 8-6 win over Elon last weekend. Casey Lyons has a team-high 45 points on 32 goals and 13 assists. Erin Wein has 29 ground balls to lead the way, with Caitlin McCartney following closely behind with 27. McCartney has a team-best 51 draw controls and is tied with Wein for the team lead in caused turnovers with 25.
Towson is 6-5 and 1-1 in CAA action. The Tigers will face Drexel on Friday night before taking on the Pride. Andi Raymond has 32 points on 20 goals and 12 assists, while Samantha Brookhart leads the team with 13 assists and also has four goals. Emily Roth has 26 ground balls to lead the way for Towson, while Michelle Dufault is tops on the roster with 16 caused turnovers. Breanna Hamm leads the Tigers with 31 draw controls.
Hofstra is 10-17 all-time against Delaware and will look to end a short two-game losing skid to the Blue Hens this weekend. Last season UD beat Hofstra, 8-7, in Hempstead.
Towson leads the all-time series with the Pride, 21-13. The two teams met twice last season with the Tigers earning a pair of wins, including a narrow 6-5 victory in the semifinals of the CAA Championship. Sunday marks the 35th meeting between the schools, making Towson the Pride's most played opponent all-time.
