MGOLF: Shin Third, Hofstra Fourth At Finegan Invitational

Elverson, PA -  Brandon Shin shot an even par 70 and is tied for third at the Finegan Invitational hosted by La Salle at the Stonewall Golf Club North Course. Hofstra is fourth as a team following Sunday's first round.

Hofstra shot a 296 (+16) and is six strokes behind first round leader Wagner in the 12-team field. Lafayette is second at 292 (+12), while Monmouth is third at 293 (+13).
David Won and Sean Cavanaugh are tied for 18th in the 63-player field at 75 (+5). Johnson Ko shot a 76 (+6) and is tied for 27th, while David Mecca is tied for 40th after a first round 78.

Shin posted four birdies in his opening round and was second in both par 3 (E) and par 5 scoring (-2). Cavanaugh and Mecca were tied for second in the field with 12 pars during their rounds, while Ko had 11.

Wagner's Kyle Sullivan is the overall leader at 66 (-4), two strokes ahead of Lafayette's Art Griffin.

The final round of the Finegan Invitational gets underway Monday morning.
