Baltimore, MD – The Hofstra Men's Basketball program will make at least nine television appearances during the 2015-16 campaign, it was announced today.
The Pride's extensive television coverage, which includes appearances on the CBS Sports Network, NBC Sports Network, American Sports Network and SNY, will showcase Hofstra on national television at least three times during the regular season.
Hofstra's first television appearance of the season will occur on November 20 when it takes on Florida State at the Paradise Jam. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. EST and depending on the Pride's results Hofstra could play two additional games on CBS Sports Network.
Two Colonial Athletic Association contests will air nationally on the NBC Sports Network as Hofstra will face Delaware on the road on February 13 at 5 p.m. and will host Northeastern on February 21 at 2 p.m.
In additional to the national television contests, Hofstra will make six appearances on regional television as part of the CAA television package.
First up will be a road game at Elon on January 9 at 6 p.m. as that game will air on ASN with additional clearnances as the game approaches.
Later in January, Hofstra will play back-to-back games on television as the January 21 game at Northeastern will air on SNY at 8 p.m. and that contest will be followed by an appearance on SNY on January 23 in a 4 p.m. home game against William & Mary.
On January 30, Hofstra's road tilt at Drexel will air on ASN at 4 p.m.
The month of February will see the Pride travel to James Madison for a rare Sunday televised game as the Pride and the Dukes will face each other on February 7 at 3 p.m. on SNY.
In addition to the aforementioned NBC Sports Network broadcasts during February, Hofstra will host Charleston on February 27 at 4 p.m. in a game that will air on ASN.
All of the CAA Championship quarterfinals will be televised regionally, while the semifinals and championship game will air on NBC Sports Network. The title game is scheduled for Monday, March 7 at 7 p.m.
