Hempstead, NY – The Hofstra Men's Basketball team will look for its first win streak of at least five games when the Pride starts a two-game southern road trip with a Thursday night encounter with Charleston.
Hofstra (11-4, 2-0 CAA) will face the Cougars on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. before continuing on to take on Elon on Saturday evening at 8 p.m.

Hofstra last had a win streak of at least five games when the Pride captured seven consecutive victories from February 10, 2010 to March 5, 2010.
The win streak reached four games on Monday as the Pride earned a 71-58 victory over Delaware and it marked the end of an eight-game losing skid to the Blue Hens over the last three seasons.
Hofstra placed four players in double figures against the Blue Hens, led by 16 points from junior guard
Juan'ya Green. Also reaching double digits were junior forward
Ameen Tanksley (15), sophomore guard
Brian Bernardi (13) and freshman forward
Rokas Gustys (11).
It was a special night for Gustys as the talented Lithuanian native tallied the first double-double of his young career with 16 rebounds to go along with the 11 points. He also added five blocked shots, while playing just 20 minutes in the contest.
Gustys leads Hofstra with 8.6 rebounds per game to go along with his 5.1 points per contest. Tanksley is tops on the roster with 18.9 points and is followed by Green (17.4), Bernardi (12.7) and graduate guard
Dion Nesmith (10.4).
Green leads the team with 6.3 assists and 1.5 steals per game, while playing a team-best 35.8 minutes per outing.
Charleston will be a 5-10 overall record and a 0-2 conference mark into Thursday's game. The Cougars have dropped their first two Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) games to William & Mary (75-45 on 1/3) and James Madison (61-50 on 1/5).
Joe Chealey and Canyon Barry are the only two players on Charleston averaging double figures as Chealey leads with 10.9 points and Barry is second with 10.6. Chealey has a team-high 46 assists this season, while Adjehi Baru ranks first on the team with 6.3 rebounds and also chips in with 7.4 points per outing.
Donovan Gilmore had 12 points and seven rebounds in the game against James Madison, while Anthony Stitt added 10 points for the Cougars.
Hofstra is 1-1 all-time against Charleston with both meetings taking place last season, the Cougars inaugural season in the CAA. Each team won on their own home court.
Following Thursday's game the Pride will continue the southern swing with a Saturday night game at Elon.
