Hempstead, NY – The Hofstra Men's Basketball team will look to end a short two-game losing streak on Wednesday when the Pride host Drexel at 7 p.m. from the David S. Mack Sports and Exhibition Complex.

The game against the Dragons continues a three-game home stand for Hofstra, which faced UNCW this past Saturday and will entertain James Madison this coming Saturday at 4 p.m. 

Pride Productions will have live video and audio of Wednesday's game, with the pregame show starting at 6:45 p.m. The broadcast can also be heard on WRHU (88.7 FM) with Julian Coltre, Chris Buckley and Anthony Notarile on the call. 

Hofstra (13-6, 4-2 CAA) dropped a 79-74 decision to UNCW on Saturday despite 19 points and eight rebounds from junior forward Ameen Tanksley. 

The two-game losing skid marks only the second time this season that Hofstra has lost back-to-back games and the Pride will look to get back on the winning track against Drexel (4-13, 2-4 CAA). 

The Dragons captured an exciting 66-62 win at Delaware in their last contest on Saturday. 

Hofstra and Drexel have met 78 times on the hardwood, with the Dragons holding a 45-33 advantage in a series that began during the 1958-59 campaign. Drexel is Hofstra's second most-played rival as tonight's 79th meeting will be one less game than the Hofstra/Delaware series for the top spot. The Pride and the Dragons met in the Middle Atlantic Championships during the 1958-59 season and Hofstra won the first-ever meeting, 70-64. Drexel enters Wednesday's game having won seven straight in the series, dating back to the 2010 season.

Four players average in double figures for Hofstra with Tanksley leading the way at 18.9 points per game. Also averaging at least 10 points per outing are junior guard Juan'ya Green (17.7 ppg), sophomore guard Brian Bernardi (12 ppg) and graduate guard Dion Nesmith (10.5 ppg). Tanksley and Green, both Philadelphia, PA natives, will be facing a school from their home town for the second time this season (La Salle). 

Green leads the Pride with 6.2 assists per game, while freshman forward Rokas Gustys is tops on the team with 7.1 rebounds per game. 

Damion Lee, the top scorer in the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA), leads Drexel with 20.2 points per game. Tavon Allen is second on the squad with 10.4 points per game. Rodney Williams leads the Dragons with 8.1 caroms per outing and Lee has a team-best 39 assists this season.
