Becky Celorio recorded a season-best 6K time of 24:07 to place 200th and lead the Hofstra Women's Cross Country team in the Brown Race of the Paul Short Run at Lehigh University Saturday afternoon.
Celorio led the Pride for the third time in four races this season with her finish Saturday. Junior
Lisa Eberwein was Hofstra's second finisher, placing 295th in a career-best time of 25:07. Freshman
Emily McLean was the Pride's third finisher, placing 306th in a season-best 25:16
Senior
Eva Holtermann also posted a season-best time of 25:36 to place 318th while freshman
Megan Tidey was 326th in 25:50. Freshman Ria Shah, competing in her first meet, placed 359th in 31:56.
Hofstra finished in 40th-place with 1210 points. Bucknell University captured the Brown Race championship, placing all five of their scoring runners in the top 25 to record 81 points. Marist College was second with 136 points and Holy Cross was third with 236 points. Junior Amy Regan from Stevens Institute of Technology was the individual winner, posting a time of 20:42.
Hofstra returns to action on Saturday, October 18 when the Pride compete in the Princeton University Invitational.
