Jack Finlayson tied his personal record and freshman
Daniel Barlev led the Pride for the fifth time this season to lead Hofstra to a 30th place finish at the Princeton Invitational Saturday afternoon.
Finlayson clocked a time of 26:09 to equal his best set at the LIU Post Invitational last month and place 159th. Barlev placed 114th in 25:42. Freshman
Alan Hetherington posted a time just one second off his collegiate best to place 202nd in 26:35. Classmate
Austin Jenkins finished 242nd in 27:16 while sophomore
Michael Simon was 265th in a career-best 27:39.
As a team, Hofstra was 30th in the field of 37 with 882 points. Villanova won the team title with 45 points while Virginia Tech (71) and Penn (139) placed second and third, respectively. Penn's Thomas Awad was the individual champion, winning in 24:00.
Hofstra returns to action on Saturday, November 1 when they compete in the Colonial Athletic Association Championship in Boston.
