Lisa Eberwein posted a career-best time and senior
Eva Holtermann posted a season-best 6K times to lead the Hofstra Women's Cross Country team to a 34th place finish at the Princeton Invitational Saturday afternoon.
Eberwein, who was Hofstra's second finisher of the day, placed 227th and posted a time of 25:02 to top her previous career-best, set at Lehigh's Paul Short Run on October 4, by five seconds. Holtermann placed 245th in 25:29 to top her 2014 best, set at Lehigh, by seven seconds.

Becky Celorio led the Pride for the fourth time in five meets this season, posting a time of 24:48 to place 214th.
Freshman
Megan Tidey was Hofstra's fourth runner, clocking a time of 25:46 to place 253rd while red-shirt freshman
Emily McLean finished 260th in 26:13. Former Pride soccer player, senior Ruby Staplehurs
t posted a time of 26:41 to place 263rd and freshman Irene Garidas clocked a time of 27:10 to finish 266th. Freshman Amanda Sullivan was 267th in 27:20 while sophomore Nicole Swanson was 278th in 31:16.
As a team, Hofstra was 34th in the field of 35 with 1041 points. Villanova won the team title with 58 points while Virginia Tech (63) and Penn (122) placed second and third, respectively. Virginia Tech's Sarah Rapp was the individual champion, winning in 21:11.
Hofstra freshman Sabrina Salama ran in the Princeton Invitational Open, posting a time of 34:30 to place 297th.
Hofstra returns to action on Saturday, November 1 when they compete in the Colonial Athletic Association Championship in Boston.
