Hempstead, NY - Men's basketball season tickets for the 2011-12 season are now on sale! The Pride are coming off a successful 2010-11 season going 21-11 on the season, falling to Old Dominion, the eventual CAA Champion, in the CAA semi-finals. Next season will consist of 17 home games at the Mack Sports Complex including non-conference games against LIU, St. Francis, Florida Atlantic, and Manhattan and CAA games against VCU, George Mason, James Madison, and Drexel.
The Pride will count on the leadership of seniors Nathaniel Lester, returning from injury last year, and Mike Moore who averaged 15 points and 5 rebounds per game and was the second leading scorer. Also back on the line-up will be junior David Imes and sophmores Stephen Nwaukoni and Shemiye McLendon.
Pat Sellers joins Mo Cassara's coaching staff for the 2011-12 season. Sellers recently served
on the men's basketball staff at the University of Connecticut for six
years, three as the director of basketball operations from 2004-07 and
three as an assistant coach from 2007-10. While serving as an assistant,
Sellers was responsible for recruiting several of the players on
UConn's 2010-11 national championship team.
