Hempstead, NY - Hofstra University freshman midfielder Jill Maier was named the WomensLax.com Rookie of the Week, it was announced this morning.
The honor is the first of the career for Maier, who joined the Pride from Honeoye Falls-Lima High School.

Against #4 Penn, Maier scored the first two goals of her career, including two of the Pride's final three goals that cut the deficit to 6-5 with six minutes left.
