Hofstra freshman Mary Sullivan has been named Colonial Athletic Association Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week after winning the Fairfield Invitational last Saturday in Connecticut.

Sullivan (East Quogue, NY/Westhampton Beach) captured her second CAA weekly honor of the season after setting a school and course record for a 5,000-meter race. The freshman's time of 17:58.1 was 39 seconds better than the second-place finisher and helped Hofstra to a second-place team finish in the Fairfield women's meet.
