Summary

Biography

Spent four seasons on the Hofstra roster…Became a regular starting left fielder as a junior and served that role again during her senior season in 2012…Turned around to bat left-handed (slap) after her freshman year.

2012:
Played in 53 games, starting 48…Batted a career high .268 while also setting personal bests in RBIs (nine), doubles (three), triples (three), walks (seven), and stolen bases (nine)…Finished 9-for-9 on stolen base attempts…Did not commit an error in 60 total chances…ended her Hofstra career with zero errors in 181 games played…Registered a pair of two-RBI games, including a 2-for-2 effort with two runs scored at George Mason on April 14…Made a sensational catch in left field during Hofstra’s CAA-championship clinching game versus Georgia State on May 12…Lined a RBI single to right in the 11th inning to give Hofstra a 2-1 win over USF in Game 1 of the Tampa Super Regional.


2011: Appeared in 47 games, including 36 starts...Batted .267 with seven RBI...Hit her first career home run in a road win over George Mason on April 9, going 3-for-3 on the game...Tripled and scored in a win over Georgia State on May 6 to help clinch the regular season title and the top seed in the CAA Tournament...Batted 3-for-4 with two runs scored and two RBI in a home win over James Madison on April 16...Was 2-for-2 with a run scored in a road win over Drexel...Doubled and scored in a win over Connecticut at the Hofstra Invitational...Had a pair of RBI in a season-opening win over UNC Greensboro...Batted .308 in CAA games...CAA Commissioner's Academic Award recipient.


2010:
Appeared in 45 games, including five starts...Batted .214 on the year (3-14)...Earned a single in a start against No. 5 Michigan at the Louisville Red and Black Invitational...Had the game-ending RBI double in a 10-2 win over St. John's...Singled and scored a run in a 2-1 victory over Michigan State at the South Florida/La Quinta Inn Invitational...Had a spectacular catch in front of the wall to temporarily preserve a no-hitter in the sixth inning for Olivia Galati in a win over Connecticut in the Pride's home opener...Stole a base as a pinch-runner against Rutgers.

2009: Appeared in 36 games as a pinch runner, while seeing action in the outfield against UNC Wilmington and Towson...Scored nine runs on the year...Was 2-2 stealing bases...Scored Hofstra's only run in the CAA Tournament.

High School: Played four years of softball at Riverbend High School in Fredericksburg, Virginia...Also played volleyball for two years...Earned first team all-district and all region honors as a senior, while being named second team all-state...Also earned first team all-district and second team all-region honors as a junior.

Personal: Born February 13, 1990...Has two older sisters...Majoring in biology... Aspires to work as either a physical therapist or a physician's assistant...Lists Jeff Francoeur as her favorite athlete...Also recruited by Monmouth, Marist and George Mason...Nicknamed 'Lava'...Started playing softball at age 10.
