Biography

At Hofstra: Fourth season on the Hofstra Softball roster...Has started every game at catcher in the last two seasons, and in 166 of Hofstra's 171 games in the last three years...Has seven career home runs, four of which have come in postseason play.

2008: CAA All-Tournament Team...CoSIDA/ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District I second team selection...Started all 58 games at catcher...Did not have a single passed ball all season, while allowing only six wild pitches...Batted .261 with three homers and 32 RBI, ranking second on the team...Hit .302 with 12 RBI in conference games...Homered in the CAA Tournament for the third year in a row, a two-run shot to put Hofstra ahead for good in a 3-1 win over Towson in the opening round...Also batted 3-for-5 in the first game of the championship round against James Madison...Homered and had four RBI in a 5-1 win over Wright State at the Louisville Slugger Invitational...Was 2-for-4 with an RBI single in a 7-4 win over South Carolina...Batted 3-for-4 with two runs and an RBI in a 5-1 win over Charlotte...Was 3-for-3 with an RBI double in the series finale against Towson in the regular season...Batted 4-for-7 with a homer and five RBI in a doubleheader sweep of UNC Wilmington...Was 2-for-2 with two runs scored against Iona...Hit 4-for-9 in the Drexel series...Had a sixth inning sacrifice fly to give Hofstra a 2-0 lead in its 5-1 NCAA Tournament win over Canisius...


2007: Second Team All-Colonial Athletic Association...CAA All-Tournament Team...CoSIDA/ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District I second team selection...Started all 56 games...Batted .293 on the season with two homers and 31 RBI...Hit .254 with 16 RBI in CAA games...Hit two-run homer in CAA championship game against Georgia State...Also had game's only RBI in a 1-0 win over Georgia State in the winner's bracket...Added her second homer of the season in the NCAA Regionals against Harvard...Batted 2-for-2 and tied a school record with four runs scored in a 9-7 win over nationally ranked Georgia Tech...Added the tying two-run single in the sixth inning of the Georgia Tech win...Batted 2-for-4 in the season opener against Washington...Had game-winning RBI in sixth inning of 5-4 win over Iona...Had five RBI in the three-game series with Georgia State...Batted 3-for-3 with three runs scored in win over Robert Morris...Was 2-for-3 with a run scored against Auburn...Had three-run double in CAA win over Drexel...Was 2-for-3 with three runs scored in 8-1 win at Fordham.

2006: Colonial Athletic Association All-Rookie Team...Played in 53 games, including 52 starts...Batted .295 with two homers and 24 RBI...Also stole 12 bases in 13 attempts...Had only seven passed balls...Hit .350 in the postseason...Hit a crucial solo homer to lead off the seventh inning in a 7-3 win over Georgia State in the CAA Championship game, putting the Pride up by three...Was 2-for-3 with two runs scored and an RBI in the Pride's 5-4 win over Penn State in the NCAA Regionals...Twice scored from first on doubles to the outfield, including the game-winning run in the eighth inning...Was 2-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI in the regular season finale at Delaware...Was 2-for-2 with three RBI in her collegiate debut against Temple...Was 3-for-6 with three RBI in a home win over Manhattan...Was 3-for-4 with a run scored and an RBI in a home win over Seton Hall...Batted 2-for-4 with a run scored in a game against ACC regular season champion North Carolina State...Tied a school record with four runs scored, including her first collegiate home run, in a home win over St. John's...Had an 11-game hitting streak, tying the longest for a Pride player all season.

Batted .474 as a freshman, .587 as a sophomore, .569 as a junior and .543 as a senior...Was the Cascade Conference Offensive Player of the Year as a junior and senior.

Personal: Born Oct. 6, 1986...Played summer ball with the Lake Breeze Gold...Started playing softball at age seven...Has volunteered for the Salvation Army and Big Brother/Big Sister...Lists Alex Rodriguez as her favorite athlete...Also recruited by Delaware, Towson, Central Michigan, Drake, Georgia State, Loyola Chicago, Portland State and Wright State...Majoring in community health with a minor in physical education.
