Fourth season on the Hofstra Softball roster...Began her career as a first baseman, but has spent the last two years as a relief pitcher.

2008: CoSIDA/ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District I second team...Had a 4-1 record and an 0.56 ERA in 37.1 innings of work, appearing in 21 games (19 in relief)...Had a 0-0 record and a 1.31 ERA in conference games...Saw limited action in the last month of the season due to a pair of injuries...Made a rare start against South Florida and took a tough-luck defeat in a 1-0 10-inning loss (with the international tiebreaker rule enforced in the eighth)...Allowed six hits in 9.2 innings of work against South Florida...Won both games of a doubleheader sweep with Lehigh...Struck out five in two innings of relief in the third game of the Delaware series...Picked up the win in relief against Mississippi, allowing just two hits in 4.1 innings...Threw one scoreless inning of relief against #4 Tennessee on opening day...Threw one perfect inning of relief against Florida, which finished the regular season ranked #1 in the nation...Got the save with 2.1 innings of relief work against #13 Baylor...Had a save with 2.1 innings of shutout relief against Coastal Carolina...Did not allow a run (other than an international tiebreaker rule runner) in her first 25 innings of work...

2007: CoSIDA/ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District I second team...Had an 11-3 record and a 1.41 earned run average on the season, while appearing in 27 games (25 in relief)...Struck out 65 batters and walked only four (one of which was intentional)...Threw a seven-hit shutout with eight strikeouts in a 6-0 win over Lehigh in one of her two starts on the season...Earned the win with five innings of three-hit relief in a 3-0 win over UNC Wilmington in the final game of the regular season, which clinched home field advantage for the CAA Tournament...Earned the win with 3.2 innings of two-hit relief in a 9-7 comeback win over nationally ranked Georgia Tech at the Adidas Invitational...Earned the win with three innings of two-hit relief in the Pride's 5-3 victory over Fordham which gave Hofstra the championship of its pool at the Adidas Invitational (a pool which included eventual Big 10 Champion Ohio State and ACC champion Virginia Tech)...Also had the tiebreaking two-run single in her only plate appearance of the season in the Fordham victory...Got the win in relief in Hofstra's 2-1 eight-inning victory over Delaware in the final game of the weekend series...Picked up her first career win with two innings of relief in a 5-2 eight-inning win over Wichita State.

2006: Appeared in 11 games, including four starts...Batted .125 with five walks and three RBI...Had a bases-clearing triple in a road win over Connecticut, giving the Pride a 5-0 lead in a game it would go on to win 9-0...Walked and scored the Pride's only run in a 2-1 road loss to Syracuse...Batted 1-for-4 in a start against Temple...Scored a run in a road win over George Mason.

High School: Played four seasons at Linganore High School, where she was the team's top pitcher and hitter...Was an All-Chesapeake Conference selection as a senior...Batted .492 as a junior and earned first-team All-Maryland honors...Also had an 0.91 ERA in the pitching circle...Batted .367 as a sophomore when she missed a month with an illness...Also played on the Linganore volleyball team for four seasons and the basketball team for three...Personal: Born July 21, 1987...Played summer ball with the Vienna Stars Gold...Nicknamed "Jo"...Has one older brother.
