Hempstead, NY – The Hofstra field hockey team heads into October with an away-home split in its next set of weekend games. The Pride will resume CAA play on Friday on the road against Fairfield before hosting Senior Day against UAlbany on Sunday.
Both games are set to begin at 3 p.m., and Friday's game will be streamed on YouTube while FloCollege will carry the video stream for Sunday's contest. These links, as well as the live statistics link, are available on this page and the field hockey schedule page on GoHofstra.com.
Hofstra suffered a 4-0 defeat at the hands of nationally-ranked Monmouth this past Friday, dropping the Pride to 2-6 overall and 0-2 in the conference.
Sarah Smalley leads the Pride in scoring with five goals, followed by four goals from
Malena Bertone, while
Kesia Richardson paces the team with three assists.
Picked third in the CAA Preseason Poll, Fairfield sits at 4-5 overall and 1-1 in the CAA after a win over Towson and a loss to Delaware last week. Kylie Corcoran and Rylee LaLaoup are the leading scorers for the Stags with six goals each.
UAlbany enters the week 3-4 overall following losses to Rutgers and #6 Massachusetts. Quinty Reumer paces the Great Danes in scoring with five goals on the season. UAlbany will face Maine in America East action on Friday before Sunday's game against Hofstra.
Hofstra is 1-13 all-time against UAlbany and 30-11 against Fairfield. The Pride dropped a 3-2 contest against UAlbany to open the 2025 season and lost 5-1 against Fairfield at home last October.
