Hofstra Places 13th At Red Bandanna Invitational

Canton, MA - Regina Cantu Chavez shot her best round of the tournament, a 79 (+7), to lead Hofstra on the final day of the Boston College Red Bandanna Invitational at Blue Hill Country Club. Pride freshman Sora Kishida shot a final round 80 (+8) and was the Pride's top overall finisher, tying for 38th-place in the 84-player field at 237 (+21). 

Regina Cantu Chavez was the Pride's next-highest finisher, tying for 56th place at 244 (+28). Kaylie Porter shot a final round 83 (+11) and placed 65th at 248 (+32), while Casandra Cantu Chavez was 68th at 250 (+34). The Pride freshman shot a final round 90 (+18). Natalie Moody was 82nd at 268 (+52) following a final round 89 (+17). 

Hofstra placed 13th in the 15-team field at 978 (+114), besting Siena by one stroke and New Haven by 28. The host Eagles won the team title at 882 (+18), 25 strokes ahead of Seattle.

Frances Kim of Boston College was the individual medalist, posting a three-round 214 (-2). She won by one stroke over Yale's Hanny Wang (215, -1). Both players shot an even par 72 Tuesday. 

Hofstra returns to action September 28 and 29 at the Sacred Heart Fall Classic in Milford, Connecticut.
