Kishida Ties For Seventh As Pride Wrap Fall Campaign At Navy

Annapolis, MD - Sora Kishida shot a 10-over 154 and tied for seventh-place at the Navy Invitational at the U.S. Naval Academy Golf Club. Kishida posted her second consecutive top 10 finish.  

As a team, Hofstra was eighth in the 10-team field at 664 (+88). 

Kishida had rounds of 75 (+3) and 79 (+7) to finish 12 strokes off the lead. 

Kaylie Porter shot rounds of 83 (+11) and 84 (+12) to finish tied for 35th in the 58-player field at 167 (+23). Cassandra Cantu Chavez climbed nine spots during the final round to tie for 37th place at 168 (+24) following rounds of 87 (+15) and 81 (+9). Regina Cantu Chavez tied for 48th place at 175 (+31) after carding an 85 (+13) and a 90 (+18), while Natalie Moody was 58th after withdrawing after two holes during her final round. .

Emma Tang of Navy won the individual title at 142 (-2). Tang shot a first round 68 (-4) before closing with a 74 (+2). She was the only player under par and won by five strokes over Paris Fieldings of Howard. 

Stetson and Navy tied for the team lead at 609 (+33). Stetson won the tiebreaker to claim the championship. Hofstra had rounds of 330 and 334.

The Navy Invitational marked the conclusion of the fall season for the Pride. .
