Hempstead, NY - The Hofstra women's tennis team continued its outstanding scholarly achievements as the Intercollegiate Tennis Association announced it 2026 Division I Women's ITA Scholar-Athletes and All-Academic Teams. The Pride placed all eight student-athletes on the Scholar-Athlete Team and was also selected as an All-Academic Team. In all, 1,501 women's tennis student-athletes were named an ITA Scholar-Athlete, and 231 women's tennis programs were awarded All-Academic Team distinction.
Earning ITA Scholar-Athlete accolades were:
Bohdana Bilokon,
Isabella Cardinal,
Katarina Drinchich,
Aryanah Kahnamoui,
Megan Maragliano,
Sabira Mohamed,
Aida Oviedo, and
Ava Veneziano. Mohamed is a four-time honoree, while Veneziano is a three-time ITA Scholar-Athlete. Drinchich, Kahnamoui, and Maragliano are two-time honorees, while Bilokon, Cardinal, and Oviedo earned the award for the first time in their Hofstra careers.
To earn the ITA Scholar-Athlete distinction, student-athletes must have a grade point average of at least 3.5 (on a 4.00 scale) for the current academic year. For a team to be named an ITA All-Academic Team, programs must have a team grade point average of 3.2 or above (on a 4.00 scale).
The Pride posted a 3.82 grade point average for the academic year, leading the department for the second consecutive semester.
