Hempstead, NY - Four members of the Hofstra women's tennis team -
Katarina Drinchich,
Aryanah Kahnamoui,
Sabira Mohamed, and
Ava Veneziano - have been named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team, it was announced today.
Academic All-District® honorees will be considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced June 2, 2026.
Drinchich played in all 18 matches this season and clinched the 4-3 team win over Queens College. She earned one singles win and two doubles wins, playing primarily at the No. 5 and No. 3 positions. Drinchich was nominated for the Sylvia J. Giallombardo award, given to the top female scholar-athlete, at the 2026 HOFSPY Awards. She has a 3.74 grade point average as a business analytics major.
Kahnamoui competed in all 18 matches this season, earning five singles wins and four doubles wins. She primarily competed at the No. 3 singles and No. 1 doubles positions. Kahnamoui has a 3.84 GPA as a health science major.
Mohamed appeared in 17 matches this season and earned two singles and four doubles wins. She primarily played at the No. 1 singles and No. 2 doubles positions. She has a 3.82 GPA as a health science major.
Veneziano competed in 17 matches this season, earning one singles win and two doubles wins. She primarily competed in the No. 5 singles position and No. 3 doubles position. She has a 3.66 GPA as a criminology major.
