Hall Of Fame Spotlight - Leah Galton, Women's Soccer

Leah Galton played for the Pride women's soccer team from 2012 to 2015 and is one of the most decorated players in program history. A Second Team NSCAA All-American in 2015, she was also a semifinalist for the Missouri Athletic Club Hermann Trophy. Galton won three consecutive CAA Player of the Year awards from 2013 to 2015 and remains the program's all-time leader in points with 122. She also ranks second in goals with 48 and is fourth in assists with 26. 

The only three-time CAA Women's Soccer Player of the Year in conference history, Galton was the 2012 CAA Rookie of the Year and was a three-time CAA Preseason Player of the Year as well. She was also an NSCAA All-Mid Atlantic first-team pick in all four of her collegiate seasons.

Galton helped Hofstra to a CAA title in 2012 and twice led the Pride to the NCAA Tournament. She ranks fourth in program history in CAA Championship goals with four and also scored one goal in the NCAA Tournament. During her four seasons, Hofstra won 47 games. 

A native of Harrogate, England, Galton was selected 13th overall in the 2016 NWSL Draft by Sky Blue FC and went on to play professionally for Bayern Munich and Manchester United, while representing England at multiple national team levels. In her eight seasons with Manchester United, Galton has made 172 appearances and has scored 44 goals. 

Galton holds a degree in exercise science from Hofstra. She and her wife, Sheridan Douglas, have two dogs - Rhubarb and Bueno.
