Elon, NC - Freshman Isabella Spagnoli finished the women's 3000m steeplechase in third place to lead the Hofstra women's outdoor track & field team at the 2026 Coastal Athletic Association Championship on Friday evening. Spagnoli recorded a 10:47.75 time from the Jerry and Jeanne Robertson Track and Field Complex, earning six team points for the Pride. 

As a team, the Hofstra women are in 9th place, while Elon leads after the first day of competition with 66 points.

Avery Brawner competed alongside Spagnoli in the 3000m steeplechase and finished in 11th place with a time of 11:46.06. Sophia Briggs raced in the women's 10,000 and recorded a personal best time of 38:02.69 to finish 13th. 

The Hofstra women's outdoor track and field team conclude their run at the CAA Outdoor Track and Field Championship as the are not participating in any events on the second day of championship competition in Elon, North Carolina.
