Hank Kancher shot a career low round 63 (-7) to begin the Trinity Bantams/Hartford Hawks Invitational on Saturday from Kenery Park Golf Course in Windsor, Connecticut. Kancher leads the 78-competitor field in first place heading into the second round of play.
As a team, the Pride are also in first place following a first round 278 (-2). Teams from Trinity are in second and third, while Tufts, Williams, Bowdoin, and Hamilton are all tied for fourth place at 291 (+11).
Charlie Ferrise sits tied for seventh place following a first round 70 (E), while
Gavin Clarke is tied for 11th at 71 (+1).
Joseph Wong shot a first round 74 (+4) to tie for 33rd place and
Taishi Shigaki is 72nd at 81 (+11) heading into the final round of play.
The second and final round of the Trinity Bantams/Hartford Hawks Invitational gets underway on Sunday, April 5, from Keney Park Golf Course. Shigaki will be the first of the Pride to tee off at 12:42 p.m. in Windsor, Connecticut.Â
