Regina Cantu Chavez shot a first round 83 (+11) to lead the Hofstra women's golf team at the 2026 Coastal Athletic Association Women's Golf Championship at The Clubs at St. James in Southport, North Carolina. Cantu Chavez is tied for 28th after the first 18 holes of play.
As a team, the Pride sit in ninth place after combining to shoot a 349 (+61) Friday.Â
Mariana Rodriguez is tied for 38th in the 45-player field following a first round 86 (+14).
Sadie Anderson is 42nd at 89 (+17), while
Kaylie Porter is 44th at 91 (+19).
Natalie Moody sits in 45th at 107 (+35) heading into the second round of competition.Â
UNCW's Victoria Levy is the individual leader after the first 18 holes at 69 (-3). The Seahawks are in the lead with a combined first round of 292 (+4), while Charleston, Campbell, Elon, and William & Mary round out the top-five teams.Â
Second round play gets underway Saturday morning at 8:30 a.m. at The Clubs at St. James.Â
