West Long Branch, NJ - Hofstra dropped the series finale at Monmouth Sunday, 19-9. The Pride slipped to 3-10 overall and 2-4 in CAA play with the loss. Monmouth is 8-8 overall and 5-1 in league play.
The Pride took a 7-1 lead in the top of the second inning before the Hawks answered with 10 runs in the bottom of the second to take the lead for good.Â
