Washington, DC - The Hofstra women's basketball team will look for the seventh CAA Championship semifinal appearance in program history when it matches up against second-seeded Campbell Friday in the quarterfinals of the 2026 Credit Union 1 CAA Women's Basketball Championship from CareFirst Arena in Washington, DC

Emma Von Essen sank a three-pointer with 2.6 seconds left in regulation to lift the 10th-seeded Pride past seventh-seeded Towson 72-71 in the second round on Thursday. Von Essen finished with 14 points against the Tigers, while
Chloe Sterling led the way with 17 points.
Micaela Carter and
Alarice Gooden also finished in double figures with 13 and 12 points, respectively, and
Sandra Magolico was the team's leading rebounder with nine.
Campbell earned the second-seed in the CAA Championship with a 20-11 overall record and a CAA mark of 13-5. CAA Rookie of the Year winner Jasmine Nivar leads the Fighting Camels with 11.5 points per game, and Jasmine Felton is the team's top rebounder with 6.1 per contest.
Friday will be the fifth meeting in women's basketball between the two programs, and the fourth since Campbell joined the CAA in 2023-24, with the series even at 2-2. The Fighting Camels won the regular season meeting, 58-47, back on February 13 in Buies Creek, North Carolina.
