Hofstra Heads To Monmouth For CAA Series

Hempstead, NY – The Hofstra Pride baseball team returns to action this weekend when it opens a three-game CAA series at Monmouth in West Long Branch, New Jersey. Game one is scheduled for Friday, March 13 at 3 p.m., with game two set for Saturday at 1 p.m. and the series finale Sunday at 1 p.m. Friday and Saturday's games will be streamed live on FloCollege with live statistics available for all three games. Hofstra enters the weekend with a 2-8 overall record and a 1-2 mark in CAA play after earning a 16-6 victory over Rider on Wednesday at University Field. Michael Brown had two home runs and six RBIs, while Tyler Cox delivered three hits including the game-ending home run in the eighth inning. Michael D'Ambrosio picked up his first collegiate win in relief.

Monmouth comes into the weekend with a 6-7 overall record and a 3-0 mark in conference play. The Hawks are currently riding a five-game winning streak. Monmouth swept Towson in its first CAA series

Saturday: Chris Bedford vs. Alec Couture
Sunday: Nick Reese vs. TBA

Following the weekend series, Hofstra will return to action Tuesday at home against New Haven. First pitch is scheduled for 3 p.m.
