Hempstead, NY - The Hofstra men's basketball team will host Towson on Saturday as the University continues its Winter Homecoming celebrations. The contest is being presented by Nature's Truth.

Tip-off from the David S. Mack Sports and Exhibition Complex for this nationally-televised event is scheduled for 4 p.m. From 1-3:30 p.m. there will be a Winter Homecoming Tailgate located on the east concourse of the Mack Sports Complex with games, food, music, and giveaways. Tickets to the game include access to the pregame tailgate.

For ticket information, visit HofstraTickets.com, call (516) HOF-TIXX, or stop by the Hofstra Athletics Ticket office during normal business hours. Use code "Groundhog" for discounted $15 premium tickets.

There will be free Hofstra Winter Homecoming t-shirts available to all fans in attendance! In addition, there will be a postgame autograph session with the team.

The contest will air nationally on the CBS Sports Network and WRHU will have an audio-only broadcast available on the HAWC. Links to all, as well as the live statistics, can be found on this page and on the men's basketball schedule page on GoHofstra.com.

Hofstra moved to 15-9 and 6-5 in the league with a wire-to-wire 80-63 win over Northeastern on Thursday evening. Preston Edmead was a star as he had a near triple-double with 23 points, nine rebounds, and eight assists to lead the way. Cruz Davis added 16 points and eight assists, while Joshua DeCady returned and added 15 points.

Towson enters Saturday's tilt with a 13-11 overall record and a 5-6 CAA mark. The Tigers routed Hampton, 82-50, this past Saturday. Dylan Williamson had 29 points and seven assists, while Jack Doumbia Jr. added 15 points and 10 rebounds.

One of Hofstra's oldest rivals, the Pride and the Tigers will be meeting for the 81st time on Saturday. Hofstra leads the all-time series, 49-31, in a series that began during the 1982-83 campaign. The Pride has won three of the last four and 10 of the last 16 meetings between the teams. Hofstra won this season's earlier meeting, 78-67, down in Maryland on January 8.
