Pride Set for CBS Sports Network Tilt Versus Hampton

2/17/2026 3:55:00 PM

Hempstead, NY - The Hofstra men's basketball team returns home on Thursday to host Hampton in a nationally-televised contest. The game is being presented by MMP Capital.

The game will also serve as Hofstra's Academic Excellence Night as the University honors the incredible successes in the classroom by our student-athletes.

Tip-off from the David S. Mack Sports and Exhibition Complex is scheduled for 8 p.m.

For ticket information, visit HofstraTickets.com, call (516) HOF-TIXX, or stop by the Hofstra Athletics Ticket office during normal business hours. There will be a rally towel giveaway for the first 500 fans in attendance on Thursday. In addition, one lucky student will win a 43-inch television. There is a special winter break on Long Island ticket deal. Use the code "BREAK" for $10 tickets to Thursday's game.

The contest will air nationally on the CBS Sports Network and WRHU will have an audio-only broadcast available on 88.7 FM. Links to all, as well as the live statistics, can be found on this page and on the men's basketball schedule page on GoHofstra.com.

Hofstra will bring a 17-10 overall record and a CAA mark of 8-6 into Thursday's contest. The Pride dropped a close 70-66 decision at UNCW on Saturday in its most recent game. Cruz Davis led the way with 22 points, Preston Edmead added 21 points, and Joshua DeCady chipped in with 14 points. The Pride has won four of its last five games.

Hofstra is 12-14 and 6-7 in conference. The Pirates last play on Friday when they dropped a 71-70 game to North Carolina A&T at the NBA HBCU Classic in Inglewood, California. Jalyke Gaines-Wyatt and Xzavier each had 17 points to lead the team.

Thursday will be the sixth all-time meeting between Hofstra and Hampton. The Pride lead the all-time meetings, 4-1, in a series that began during the 2022-23 season. Hofstra won the first four meetings with Hampton winning the most recent meeting in Virginia last February.
