Hempstead, NY - Hofstra redshirt junior Nikki Mennella picked up her first award of the 2026 season as she was named the CAA Offensive Player of the Week, it was announced by the conference office this afternoon. 

Mennella was outstanding for the Pride as she led the way in the team's two wins this week. 

Mennella totaled 13 points on 10 goals and three assists in the two contests, while also adding nine draw controls and three ground balls. 

On Wednesday, in her home debut against Manhattan, she had a game-high eight points on six goals and two assists in the win over Manhattan. She also posted a game-high seven draw controls and two ground balls. 

On Saturday, in the road win at Quinnipiac, she tallied five points on four goals and an assist, while also chipping in with two draw controls and a ground ball. 

The hat tricks were her first and second of the season and 23rd of her career. 

Mennella moved into eighth place all-time in points at Hofstra, passing her sister, Taylor. Nikki Mennella now has 185 points, while Taylor Mennella had 182 points from 2020 to 2024. She also now has 127 goals to move into seventh place all-time. She passed three people, including current assistant coach Alexa Mattera. Mattera had 125 goals from 2017 to 2021.
