Hempstead, NY - Hofstra redshirt junior attacker Nikki Mennella has been named to the Tewaaaraton Award Watch List, it was announced by the Tewaaraton Foundation this afternoon. 

Founded in 2001, The Tewaaraton Award annually honors the top male and female college lacrosse players in the United States. The selection committees are made up of premier collegiate coaches and are appointed annually by The Tewaaraton Foundation.

Mennella, who had a pair of goals and two ground balls in Hofstra's season opener, had a spectacular 2025 campaign as she posted 99 points on 62 goals and 37 assists, while also adding 67 draw controls, eight ground balls, and six caused turnovers. Her points per game average of 6.60 set a new CAA record and incredibly the PPG average was the 11th-best in the history of NCAA Division I lacrosse. She was the CAA Attacker of the Year and an All-CAA First Team pick a season ago. 

She currently ranks 10th all-time in program history with 172 points, 11th all-time with 117 goals, and 11th all-time with 55 assists.
