Men’s Lacrosse Signs 11 To Join Pride

Hempstead, NY - Hofstra University Head Men's Lacrosse Coach Seth Tierney announced the signing of 11 student-athletes who will join the Pride beginning in the fall of 2026. 

The incoming class features a balanced blend of offensive skill, defensive versatility, faceoff strength, and elite goalkeeping talent, with student-athletes arriving from top high school and club programs across the United States and Canada.

"This class represents everything we look for in Hofstra lacrosse players - competitiveness, toughness, versatility, and character," said Tierney. "Each of these young men has competed at a high level, comes from strong programs, and understands what it takes to win. We're excited about how this group fits into our culture and the future of our program."

Owen Byers | Goalie | Kaleden, British Columbia | Princess Margaret Secondary
One of the top goalkeepers in Canada, Byers earned multiple Goalie of the Year honors and helped Team BC capture a Canadian national championship. He also competed for the Coquitlam Adanacs and South Okanagan Flames.

Ben Hanover | Attack | Forest Hill, Maryland | Calvert Hall College HS
Hanover competed for one of the nation's premier high school programs, helping Calvert Hall capture MIAA and national championships. He adds experience and depth to the Hofstra attack unit.

Charlie Kiefer | Defense | Denver, Colorado | Cherry Creek HS
A three-year varsity starter and team captain, Kiefer helped lead Cherry Creek to a perfect 19-0 season and a state championship. He earned Second Team All-State honors and played club lacrosse with Sixers 2026. His brother, Jack, currently plays men's lacrosse at Duke University, while his father played collegiate soccer at the University of Denver.

Nolan Kittle | Defense | Middletown, Ohio | Archbishop Moeller HS
A four-year varsity contributor and team captain, Kittle earned All-MSLA honors and was named his team's Defensive MVP. He brings leadership and physicality from one of Ohio's top programs. He also has multiple cousins who competed in collegiate football at Duke, Dartmouth, and Furman.

Austin Mounts | Defense | Wake Forest, North Carolina | Heritage HS
A four-year varsity standout, Mounts earned multiple First Team All-Conference honors and was named conference MVP as a sophomore. He played club lacrosse with Team 91 Carolina and 3dPoint and brings consistent production on the defensive end.

Gavin Meyers | Midfield | Jupiter, Florida | Jupiter Community HS
A prolific scorer, Meyers earned multiple All-District and All-Region honors while totaling 88 goals over his final two seasons. He played club lacrosse with Madlax. His brother, Sean, currently plays collegiate lacrosse at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.

Jack Rao | Attack | Islip, New York | Islip HS
A dynamic scorer with strong Long Island ties, Rao totaled 59 points as a senior and earned All-County honors. He played club lacrosse for Legacy Lacrosse Club. Rao comes from a deep lacrosse family, with his father having played collegiately at Cornell and multiple relatives competing at Hofstra, Stony Brook, Boston College, Johns Hopkins, and other NCAA programs.

Winston Rhock II | LSM/Defense | Newark, Delaware | IMG Academy
Rhock brings elite national-level experience from IMG Academy, where he helped the program finish among the top teams in the country. He adds size, athleticism, and versatility to the Hofstra defense. His aunt competed in collegiate soccer at Amherst College.

Luke Shehata | Faceoff | Princeton, New Jersey | Hun School of Princeton
A three-time First Team All-Conference selection, Shehata posted faceoff win percentages above 70 percent throughout his career and helped Hun capture a Prep B championship. He provides strength and consistency at the X.

Will Trymbiski | Attack | Doylestown, Pennsylvania | La Salle College HS
An accomplished academic and athletic standout, Trymbiski earned First Team All-State and All-Area honors and helped La Salle reach the PIAA State Finals. He played club lacrosse with Philadelphia Big 4 HHH.

Francisco Williams | Midfield | Detroit, Michigan | IMG Academy
A two-time All-State selection, Williams helped lead Detroit Catholic Central to multiple state and league championships and played club lacrosse with True National. Williams was also a member of the U-19 Select USA team that won the Brogden Cup. He comes from a lacrosse family, with two older brothers having competed collegiately at Hope College.
