Brookville, NY - Hofstra sophomore
Isabella Gerena led the Pride to a first-place team finish in the women's 5K race at the LIU Fall Festival with her 19:07.36 first place individual finish. Hofstra took the team title with 15 points, while Adelphi came in second place with 51 points.
Allison Reid clocked in just behind Gerena at 19:19.43 to take second place, while
Hannah Donzella was third at 19:41.21,
Avery Brawner was fifth at 19:54.95,
Sophia Briggs was sixth at 20:07.97, and
Tori Bien was seventh at 20:26.53.
Natalie Campisi finished at 21:14.96 to take 13th-place,
Samantha Szabo was 15th at 21:42.87,
Amanda Hinojos was 21st at 22:34.39, and
Brielle Isernia came in 23rd out of the 42-runner field at 22:50.23.
The Hofstra women will be back in action on October 3 for Lehigh's Paul Short Invitational.
