Hofstra Hosts Elon, Campbell To Start CAA Season

Hempstead, NY - The Hofstra University women's soccer team begins Coastal Athletic Association play Thursday night when it hosts Elon at Captains Field with a 7 p.m. kickoff. Conference play continues Sunday at 2 p.m. (NEW TIME) with a home game against Campbell. 

Both contests will stream live on FloCollege with live statistics and an audio-only broadcast. Links for all can be found on the women's soccer schedule page on GoHofstra.com.

Hofstra completed the non-conference portion of its schedule with a record of 3-1-4 and has tied each of the last four games. The Pride is coming off a 0-0 draw against Dartmouth this past Sunday. 

Elon, which was picked to finish first in the CAA South Division, is undefeated this season at 6-0-2. The Phoenix have posted seven consecutive shutouts and are coming off a 6-0 victory over South Carolina State on September 10. Hofstra is 8-3 all-time against Elon, but the Phoenix have won three of the last four meetings including a 2-1 victory at home last season. Hofstra is 5-0 at home against Elon.

Campbell is 2-3-2 on the season and plays at Stony Brook Thursday night in its CAA opener. The Camels have currently lost three consecutive games. Hofstra is 1-1 all-time versus Campbell. The teams last met in 2023 with the Pride posting a 1-0 home victory. The first meeting between the teams came in 1993.

Following Sunday's game, Hofstra will return to action Sunday, September 28 at Towson.
