2/13/2026 1:19:00 PM

Hempstead, NY - Hofstra University Head Women's Soccer Coach Simon Riddiough announced that Kelsey Hauser, who completed her seventh season on the Hofstra women's soccer staff in 2025, has been promoted to associate head coach.

"Kelsey is a tremendous coach and a huge asset to our program and me personally," said Riddiough. "This promotion is well-deserved and highlights her value to Hofstra women's soccer."

Hauser joined the Pride staff in 2019 and has been a key contributor to the program's success. In her first season at Hofstra, the Pride captured their third consecutive CAA Championship and advanced to the NCAA Second Round, finishing the regular season with an unbeaten 7-0-2 conference record. Hofstra also posted five shutouts that season and limited conference opponents to under one goal per match. During the spring 2021 season, Hofstra recorded a 7-1-1 overall record and claimed the CAA regular season title. The Pride continued their success in the fall of 2021, winning 17 matches and capturing the CAA Championship, while allowing just 13 goals in 22 contests and recording 13 shutouts. Hofstra added another CAA title in 2022. The Pride advanced to the CAA semifinals in 2024 and the quarterfinals in 2025.

Prior to her arrival at Hofstra, Hauser served as head coach at Clarkson University from 2015 to 2018. During her tenure, she led the Golden Knights to their first Liberty League Tournament appearance in program history and was named Liberty League Coach of the Year in 2017. She also mentored multiple all-conference and all-region student-athletes while maintaining strong academic performance across the program.

Hauser's collegiate coaching experience also includes assistant coaching roles at Clarkson and Vassar College, where she helped guide teams to conference tournament appearances and improved league finishes.

A former standout student-athlete, Hauser played four seasons at Skidmore College and was a first team all-region selection. She also earned multiple all-conference honors while helping the Thoroughbreds to two NCAA Tournament appearances. Following graduation, she competed semi-professionally in the Women's Soccer Premier League.

A native of Longmeadow, Massachusetts, Hauser earned her undergraduate degree in management & business with a minor in mathematics from Skidmore College before completing her MBA at Clarkson. She was selected to the United Soccer Coaches 30-Under-30 Class in 2020-21.
