Hempstead, NY - The Hofstra University volleyball team earned an American Volleyball Coaches Association Team Academic Award, sponsored by INTENT, it was announced today by the organization. The Pride was one of more than a record 1,450 collegiate and high school volleyball programs to maintain a yearlong grade point average of 3.3 or greater on a 4.0 scale.
Hofstra, which won the award for the 13th time in program history, compiled a spectacular 3.71 GPA during the 2024-25 academic year.
The Pride saw 11 student-athletes named to the Dean's List and one named to the Provost's List in Fall 2024, and then had 11 Dean's List and two Provost's List student-athletes in Spring 2025. In addition,
Beatriz Braga and
Chiara Cucco earned College Sports Communicators Academic All-District accolades.
