Piscataway, NJ - The Hofstra women's golf team concluded play Sunday afternoon at the Rutgers Invitational from Rutgers University Golf Course in Piscataway, New Jersey. The Pride finished the tournament in 17th place out of 17 teams with a three-round score of 1013 (+161).
Hosts Rutgers led the teams in first place with a three-round score of 881 (+29). Seton Hall, Dartmouth, Quinnipiac, and UAlbany made up the top-five. Rutgers had golfers place in the top-five individually with Emily James in first at 219 (+6).
Leading Hofstra through the final round of the Rutgers Invitational was
Regina Cantu Chavez with a three-round score of 247 (+34) to tie for 66th.
Kaylie Porter was tied for 77th at 253 (+40).
Claire Galante came in 81st at 256 (+43),
Mai Takahashi in 82nd at 261 (+48) and
Dominique Jimenez was 87th out of the 92-player field with a three-round score of 268 (+55).
The Pride return to action for the first round of the Coastal Athletic Association Championship on Friday, April 11, from The Clubs at St. James Reserve in Southport, North Carolina.
