Pride Tenth After Two Rounds At CAA Championship

Southport, NC - The Hofstra women's golf team shot a 350 (+62) Saturday during the second round of the CAA Championship from The Clubs at St. James in Southport, North Carolina. The team sits in 10th place heading into the third and final round with a two-round score of 709 (+133).

Regina Cantu Chavez leads the Pride tied for 39th at 168 (+24) following a second round 83. Mai Takahashi is 45th at 174 (+35), while Claire Galante is tied for 46th at 179 (+35). Alternate Hannah Morello is in for Kaylie Porter and shot a 94 to place 49th at 188 (+44), while Dominique Jimenez is at 189 (+45) in 50th. 

Elon's Ashley Lafontaine is the new individual leader after day two of the CAA Championship with a two-round score of 145 (+1). Charleston and UNCW are tied for first at 592 (+16) after two rounds of play. 

The final round of the CAA Championship gets underway Sunday at 8 a.m.
