Regina Cantu Chavez is tenth after the first round of the Coastal Athletic Association Championship at The Clubs at St. James in Southport, North Carolina. The Pride shot a team score of 359 (+71) to place tenth following the first day of competition.
Regina Cantu Chavez is in fortieth place after a first round 85 (+13) and
Mai Takahashi is one stroke behind at 86 (+14) to tie for 41st.
Claire Galante is forty-fifth at 89 (+17), while
Kaylie Porter is in 49th at 99 (+27) and
Dominique Jimenez in 50th after a first round 100 (+28).
Charleston and Delaware are tied for first place at 297 (+9) after one round from The Clubs at St. James, while UNCW, Campbell and Elon make up the top five. Charleston's Molly Hardwick is in the lead at 71 (-1).
Round two of the CAA Championship commences on Saturday with tee times beginning at 8:30 a.m.
