Hempstead, NY - The Hofstra University Department of Athletics is thrilled to announce the Hall of Fame Class of 2025. The class consists of six outstanding individuals who will be inducted at the 2025 Hofstra Pride Athletics Hall of Fame and Golf Outing, which will take place Monday, June 9, 2025, at the Seawane Club in Hewlett Harbor, New York.
The Class of 2025 includes: Kimberly Hillier (women's lacrosse), Robert McKeon (extraordinary service to Hofstra athletics), Mike Miller (baseball), Michael Todd (men's soccer), Kelsie Wills (volleyball), and Colonel E. David Woycik, Jr. (extraordinary service to Hofstra athletics).
"This is another exceptional group of inductees for the Hofstra Athletics Hall of Fame," said Hofstra Vice President and Director of Athletics Rick Cole Jr. "These six individuals are tremendous representatives of Hofstra University and Hofstra Athletics. Four decorated student-athletes who rank among the best to have ever competed, and two of our most loyal supporters, both Hofstra alumni and one a former student-athlete, who have achieved great success in their chosen fields. We are excited to celebrate the accomplishments of the Class of 2025 on June 9."Â Â
With this class, the Hofstra Athletics Hall of Fame will include 136 individuals and nine teams.Â
The Hofstra Athletics Hall of Fame Class of 2025 is as follows:
Kimberly Hillier - A women's lacrosse student-athlete from 2004 to 2007, Hillier is one of only four two-time All-Americans in team history. She was an IWLCA Second Team All-American in 2006 and a third team selection in 2007 after leading the Pride to its second-ever NCAA Championship appearance. In addition, she was the first Hofstra student-athlete in Hofstra's Colonial Athletic Association history to be named All-CAA First Team in all four years. Hillier was also the 2004 CAA Rookie of the Year and a member of the CAA 25th Anniversary Team. A former member of the United States National Team, Hillier currently ranks fourth all-time at Hofstra in points (215), tied for third in assists (82), fifth in goals (133), ninth in ground balls (120), and seventh in draw controls (143). Following graduation, Hillier embarked on a coaching career and now serves as a private trainer and coach.
Robert McKeon - McKeon, a 1953 Hofstra graduate, is chairman emeritus of Kemark Financial Services Inc., a firm he co-founded in the early 1980s that is a recognized leader in the financial services industry. The company and its subsidiaries have developed an array of commercial insurance products and specialty services for this industry over these many years. After attending Hofstra followed by military service with the United States Marine Corps, he began a career in the insurance industry with the international brokerage firm of Johnson & Higgins, where he served as vice president until 1974. Prior to organizing Kemark Financial Services Inc., he was senior vice president at Fred S. James & Company, a large multinational insurance brokerage firm. McKeon was also among the recipients of Hofstra University's 2002 Award for Alumni Achievement and was an honorary degree recipient in 2010. In 2005 he was a recipient of the The Joseph M. Margiotta Award, which is given by the Department of Athletics in recognition of extraordinary dedication, generosity and service to the Hofstra Athletics Pride Club and Hofstra Athletics. McKeon and his wife, Cathy, both active philanthropists, have been ardent supporters of the Pride for decades and have been leaders in numerous capital campaigns. The couple, along with business partner Mark Wei, also established an endowed athletic scholarship in 2003 which is presented each year to a student-athlete selected on the basis of academic achievement and/or financial need.Â
Mike Miller - A baseball student-athlete from 1992 through 1995, Miller batted in the heart of the order for some of Hofstra's best offensive teams. The Diamond Conference Most Valuable Player in 1994, Miller ranks first all-time at Hofstra in career home runs (38) and runs (167), second in career triples (9), and third in career RBIs (161). He recorded 180 career hits and ranks seventh all-time with a .369 career batting average. During his senior campaign, Miller blasted a school-record 20 home runs and drove in 57 runs for the second consecutive season. He batted .411 that season, ranking 23rd in the nation, and finished second in slugging percentage (.911) and eighth in home runs. As a junior, Miller led the nation in RBIs and runs per game at 1.58. Miller was selected by the Detroit Tigers in the 29th round of the 1995 Major League Baseball Draft and spent three seasons in the minors. He returned to Long Island to begin a teaching and coaching career at the scholastic level, and currently serves as an elementary school physical education teacher in the Smithtown School District.Â
Michael Todd - A men's soccer student-athlete from 2003 to 2006, Todd helped lead Hofstra to three consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances during his tenure. He was a United Soccer Coaches Second Team All-American as a senior and also earned CAA Player of the Year after tallying 13 goals and five assists for 31 points. He ranked 15th in the nation in points per game (1.72) and 14th in goals per game (0.72) in 2006. Todd was a four-time All-CAA selection, a three-time all-region pick, and a two-time CAA Championship Most Outstanding Player Award recipient. Named to the CAA Silver Anniversary Team, Todd ranks second in career points (101), third in goals (40) and fifth in assists (21) at Hofstra. He also excelled in the classroom as a two-time College Sports Communicators Academic All-American and the 2004 CAA Scholar-Athlete of the Year. Drafted by Kansas City in the 2007 MLS Supplemental Draft, Todd played professionally in the United Soccer League and Major Indoor Soccer League.
Kelsie Wills - A volleyball student-athlete from 2011 to 2014, Wills is one of two All-Americans in program history. She was named an AVCA All-American to cap off a tremendous senior season that also saw her claim CAA Player of the Year honors after leading the conference and ranking 25th in the nation with 506 kills. Wills helped Hofstra to a CAA championship and an NCAA Tournament appearance for the second time in her storied career that season, matching the Pride's 2012 accomplishments. A three-time All-CAA First Team honoree and CAA All-Rookie selection in 2011, Wills ranks first all-time at Hofstra and third all-time in CAA history in kills with 1,942. She is the only player in program history to record three 500-kill seasons and also stands 14th all-time at Hofstra in digs with 1,226. Following graduation, Wills played professionally in Paris. She also represented her native New Zealand in beach volleyball, with partner Shaunna Polley, at the 2018 Commonwealth Games. They were the nation's first women's beach volleyball team to compete at the Games. The pair also won a bronze medal at the Ulsan Open in South Korea on the 2017 FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour. Wills left volleyball to play rugby in 2019 and has represented New Zealand in international competition and played professionally for the Chiefs Manawa squad.Â
Colonel E. David Woycik - A 1977 graduate of Hofstra University and a 1980 Maurice A Deane School of Law at Hofstra University graduate, Woycik, has been a dedicated member of the Hofstra Athletics Pride Club and ardent supporter of Hofstra Athletics. He served many years on the Pride Club board of directors and was president from 2011 to 2016. A former student-athlete, Woycik was a midfielder and faceoff specialist on the Pride lacrosse team as an undergraduate. In 2020, he and his wife, Carolyn Sanchez, partnered with Hofstra athletics to form The Colonel E. David Woycik, Jr. (Ret.) Esq. Pride Leadership Academy, an initiative designed to cultivate an environment where student-athletes have the opportunity to evolve into leaders of impact. A colonel in the U.S. Army Reserves, Woycik was a military police officer and a judge advocate general while serving in the Army. He served overseas in combat during Operation Desert Storm, as well as seven tours in Panama. He was awarded the Distinguished Service Medal, the Bronze Star, three Meritorious Service Medals, and other commendations for his outstanding leadership and dedication to his country. He was the 1998 Hofstra Alumnus of the Year, 1999 Veteran of the Year, the Law School Distinguished Lawyer of the Year in 2005, and the 2009 Pride Club Joseph M. Margiotta Distinguished Service Award recipient. In 2022 he was inducted into the Hofstra Law School Hall of Fame. He is an avid community philanthropist involved in many organizations including Vet Dogs of America, Canine Companions for Independence, Warrior Ranch Foundation, as well as Hofstra University. He has served as the president of Hofstra's Veterans Alumni Chapter and the Trial Techniques Program at the Maurice A. Deane School of Law is also named in his honor. Woycik began his legal career as an assistant district attorney in Suffolk County. He was appointed as a special U.S. Attorney for New Jersey in 2003. Woycik is currently a partner in The Sanders Law Firm. He has distinguished himself as a guest lecturer for the New York State Bar Association, Nassau County Bar Association, the American Trial Lawyers Association, and Court TV.Â
