Kent, OH - Luke Masiuk and Sean Lane each homered, but Kent State rallied to post a 15-5 victory over the Pride in eight innings Sunday at Olga Mural Field at Schoonover Stadium. The win gave the Golden Flashes a series win over the Pride.

Hofstra (7-12) got on the board in the top of the first as Dylan Palmer led off the game with a double and came around on a triple from Michael Brown. The Pride shortstop would come in on a wild pitch to extend the lead to 2-0.

Kent State responded with five runs in the bottom of the inning to take an 8-4 lead. Alejandro Covas had a two-run single in the frame.

The lead would grow to 13-4 before Michael Craig's RBI single in the eighth inning made it a 13-5 game. Kent State got a two-run home run from Micah Kiracofe in the bottom of the eighth inning to cap the scoring.
