Hofstra Defeated On The Road By Hampton

Hampton, VA - Jaquan Sanders had 12 points to lead the Pride but the Hofstra men's basketball team dropped a 67-49 decision on the road to Hampton on Saturday afternoon at the Convocation Center. 

The Pride slipped to 12-15 and 4-10 in the CAA with the loss. The Pirates improved to 14-13 and 6-8 in league play. 

Jean Aranguren added 10 points for the Pride in the contest. 

Hofstra fell behind 35-16 at the break and despite several runs in the second stanza they were unable to rally. 

Michael Graham posted a game-high 10 rebounds in the game and added five points and two blocks. Sanders added four assists for the Pride. 

Wayne Bristol Jr. tallied 16 points for Hampton, while Noah Farrakhan added 14 and George Beale Jr. chipped in with 11.

Hofstra returns to action on Thursday when it hosts Monmouth at the David S. Mack Sports and Exhibition Complex. NOTES
- Hofstra is now 4-1 all-time against Hampton. All five meetings have taken place as conference rivals in the CAA. 
- Sanders reached double figures for the sixth time this season and led the Pride in scoring for the third time in 2024-25. 
- Aranguren was in double figures for the 23rd time this season.
