Preston Edmead added to his spectacular rookie campaign with another CAA Rookie of the Week honor, it was announced this afternoon by the conference office.
This is already Edmead's third CAA Rookie of the Week Award of the season after previously earning the honor on November 10 and November 17.
It was another outstanding week for Edmead as he helped lead the way as the Pride went 3-0 at the Cathedral Classic.
Edmead averaged 14.7 points, 2.7 rebounds, 6.0 assists, and 1.0 steals per game.
On Friday against La Salle he had 11 points and five assists in a narrow five-point win over the Atlantic 10 member Explorers.
He was outstanding on Saturday as he poured in 22 points, his second 20-plus scoring game of the season, while adding five assists and two steals in the rout of Merrimack.
In the tournament finale, Edmead posted 11 points and season-bests of eight assists and six rebounds. He was a stellar 9-10 from the free throw line in the contest as well.
Edmead was named to the Cathedral Classic All-Tournament Team for his efforts.
