Hempstead, NY - The NCAA has released its most recent Graduation Success Rate (GSR) data for incoming student-athletes from the 2015-18 enrollment cohorts, and Hofstra student-athletes achieved an exceptional 98% overall multi-year GSR — reaffirming the Pride's steadfast commitment to academic and athletic excellence. The 98% GSR is a new school-record since the GSR's inception in 2002, eclipsing last year's 97%.

Hofstra's 98% GSR was the highest in the CAA and one of only 16 schools in the nation to have a GSR of 98% or higher. It is the second consecutive year that Hofstra has led the CAA and third straight year that Hofstra has ranked in the top three in the conference.

Hofstra's GSR was also well above the national average of 91%. Every Hofstra program posted GSRs higher or equal to (100%) the national federal rate.

"This data confirms what we already know about our student-athletes," said Vice President and Director of Athletics Rick Cole Jr.. "Their dedication in the classroom, combined with the unwavering support from our coaches, academic success services, and University leadership, enables us to 'Build Champions" in all that we do. The number of teams posting perfect GSRs across men's and women's programs is a remarkable reflection of our collective effort."

Ten Hofstra teams posted perfect 100% scores:
Men's Basketball
Men's Golf
Men's Soccer
Men's Tennis
Men's Cross Country/Track
Wrestling
Women's Basketball
Field Hockey
Women's Golf
Women's Tennis
Women's Cross Country/Track
Volleyball

It is the third year in a row that at least 10 Hofstra teams posted perfect 100% scores.

Several Hofstra teams have impressive streaks as the following programs have had perfect GSRs for two or more years in a row: women's golf (19), men's golf (14), field hockey (13), women's cross country/track (9), women's tennis (9), women's basketball (8), volleyball (8), men's basketball (3), men's tennis (3), men's cross country/track (2), men's soccer (2), wrestling (2).

The NCAA's GSR metric allows student-athletes six years to earn their degrees. This year's rate is based on the average of student-athletes who enrolled in 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018. These classes must have graduated within six years of their enrollment.
