Boston, MA - Behind 20 kills and 12 digs from
Beatriz Braga, the Hofstra volleyball team captured its 20th win of the season with a four-set victory over Northeastern on Friday afternoon at Cabot Gymnasium. The 20 wins marks the 28th time in program history that the Pride has reached the 20-win plateau and the first time since the 2018 squad won 25 matches.Â
Constanza Perez Sain tied her career-high with 17 kills in the match, while
Nina Jioshvili-Ravva had 41 assists and 10 digs.Â
The win moved Hofstra's record to 20-3 overall and 12-3 in CAA action. Northeastern is now 9-15 and 5-10 in the league. Set scores were 25-15, 24-26, 25-22, and 25-21.Â
Hofstra got off to a hot start, hitting at a .517 clip in the first set, to take the early lead in the match. After Northeastern tied the score at one, the Pride would earn narrow wins in the third and fourth stanzas to take the match and clinch their 20th triumph of the season.
Izadora Stedile had 18 kills and 12 digs for Hofstra, while
Ellie Pamatat had 16 assists and
Nil Kayaalp chipped in with 11 digs.Â
Emma Rowell had 12 kills for Northeastern, which also got nine kills and nine digs from Svenja Rodenbuesch.Â
Hofstra and Northeastern will conclude the series and the regular season tomorrow at 3 p.m.Â

- Hofstra improved to 52-18 all-time against Northeastern. The Pride has won three straight in the series.Â
- The double-double was Stedile's team-leading 15th of the season, while Jioshvili-Ravva tallied her eighth and Braga had her fifth.Â
- Perez Sain previously had 17 kills at Stony Brook on September 21, 2024.Â
- Braga has 20 or more kills in five consecutive matches.Â
