Clara Bal had 11 kills and seven digs and
Constanza Perez Sain added 10 kills and four blocks to lead the Hofstra volleyball team to a three-set sweep of Hampton on Thursday afternoon at Holland Hall.
Hofstra moved to 12-2 overall and 5-2 in CAA play with the win. Hampton fell to 1-16 and 0-7 in conference action. The win was Hofstra's third straight and all three have been in sweeps. Set scores were 25-18, 25-16, and 25-8.
Nina Jioshvili-Ravva added 28 assists, four digs, and four blocks for the Pride, which got a match-high 20 digs from
Nil Kayaalp.
Beatriz Braga nearly reached double figures with nine kills.
Jaya Rimm and Racquel Frazier each had five kills for the Pirates, which got eight assists from Ida Wiszomirska and six digs and four service aces from Katerina Pappa.
These same two teams will conclude the two-match series on Friday at 1 p.m.
NOTES
- Hofstra improved to 5-0 all-time against Hampton. All five meetings have occurred as CAA rivals.
- Bal led Hofstra in kills for the third time this season.
- Kayaalp reached 20 or more digs for the third time this season.
- Bal and Perez Sain both reached double figures in kills for the sixth time in 2025.
