Izadora Stedile posted 14 kills and 14 digs to lead the Hofstra volleyball team to its sixth consecutive win, a sweep of Stony Brook, on Saturday evening at the David S. Mack Physical Education Center. All six wins during the streak have come in sweeps. It is the longest win streak without dropping a set since 2014.
Constanza Perez Sain added 10 kills, five blocks, four digs, and two service aces for the Pride, which also got 41 assists, five digs, four blocks, and three kills from
Nina Jioshvili-Ravva.
Hofstra improved to 15-2 overall and 8-2 in CAA action with the win. Stony Brook dropped to 8-9 and 4-4 in the league. Set scores were 25-18, 25-21, and 25-23.
The Pride's defense was on point throughout the match, holding the Seawolves to a .000 attack percentage in the first set and a .030 hitting percentage in the second stanza to take control of the match. Hofstra won a close battle in the third and final set to earn the win and sweep both matches against their Long Island rivals.
Nil Kayaalp had a match-high 15 digs in the contest, while
Beatriz Braga chipped in with eight kills and nine digs.
Lilia Duczek added five kills and seven blocks.
Quinn Anderson had six kills to lead Stony Brook, while Ava Zamora added 20 assists, nine digs, four kills, three service aces, and three blocks.
Hofstra will play its final non-conference match of the season on Tuesday when it travels to Rider for a 6 p.m. match.

- Hofstra moved to 15-4 all-time against Stony Brook. The Pride has won three straight against the Seawolves.
- Hofstra is now 7-0 at home this season.
- Stedile led Hofstra in kills for the seventh time, while Kayaalp led the Pride in digs for her team-leading 12th time.
- Stedile was in double figures in kills for the 14th time, digs for the 10th time, Perez Sain for the eighth time, and Kayaalp for the 14th time.
- Stedile has reached double figures in kills in nine consecutive matches. Jioshvili-Ravva has reached double figures in assists in all 17 matches this year.
- The Pride improved to 132-41 (.762 winning percentage) all-time in its NCAA Division I history against teams from New York State. The Pride went 5-0 against New York State teams this regular season.
