Hempstead, NY - The Hofstra men's basketball team will begin a quick two-game home stand on Thursday when the Pride hosts Charleston.

Tip-off from the David S. Mack Sports and Exhibition Complex is slated for 7 p.m. 

There will be a Hofstra knit hat giveaway to the first 500 fans in attendance on Thursday. In addition, it is pajama night and anyone who wears pajamas will be admitted free of charge.

Hofstra is 9-6 overall and 1-1 in CAA play following an incredible defensive performance in a 55-37 road win at Northeastern on Saturday. The 37 points are the fewest the Pride has allowed in a game since a 48-34 win over Rider on January 18, 1989. In addition, it is the first time Hofstra has allowed fewer than 40 points in a game since a 44-39 win over Manhattan on December 9, 2009. Cruz Davis led the Pride in the contest with 22 points, while Jean Aranguren tallied a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds. 

Charleston enters the game with a 12-3 overall mark and is 2-0 in the CAA. The Cougars are coming off a 77-69 win over Towson on Saturday. Deywilk Tavarez and AJ Smith each tallied 20 points in the victory for Charleston. 

The Hofstra and Charleston series begin during the 2013-14 season and the series is knotted at 10 through 20 all-time meetings. The Cougars won both meetings a season ago but prior to that the Pride had won four of the previous five meetings between the teams.
